 The importance of contemporary trade

 Changes in Contemporary Trade

 The first topic
 The importance of contemporary trade

Trade is a language: buying and selling, and the merchant is the one who buys and sells.
And idiomatically: the process of buying and selling goods and services.
Trade in this concept has existed for thousands of years, and the new concept of trade does not depart from the old, as it is the meeting of sellers and buyers in one place known as the market to replace products and services.
And trade until the early eighteenth century AD was limited, and most of its operations were limited to certain places and at known time Then it developed after that - as it will come - and defined the so-called international trade, which is the process of exchanging goods and services between countries, which differs from the local trade that takes place within a single country.
International trade benefits individuals and companies in two ways:
First, consumers can get more goods at a lower cost through trade.
Second: Diversity of goods and services in different countries, which creates a kind of competition between the producing company and motivates it to improve its production.
Thanks to the development of means of transportation, communication and the possibility of adapting modern technologies in the methods of trade, types that were not known in previous eras have emerged, such as electronic commerce, which is one of the fruits of the technological and cognitive development witnessed by mankind in this era.
The importance of contemporary trade lies in the circulation of goods and services on a global scale and the increase in commercial deals, which contributes to increasing national income and reviving the local economy. This trade will eventually affect the economies of many developed and developing countries or will have the ability to form unity and economic integration without borders.()

 The second topic
 Changes in Contemporary Trade

Change began to occur in trade in general (local and regional) since the late eighth century AD, after the emergence of railways and steamships, which had the greatest impact on the growth of international trade, the expansion of markets and the opening of new sources for the production of many products. ()
The means of transportation were credited with the establishment of multiple economic activities, and this is considered a natural matter since the means of transportation at that time were difficult, and there was no diversity in goods and services. ()
The means of transportation were not the only element that contributed to the development of trade, but there are multiple elements that covered all aspects of life thanks to human progress in various technical and technological fields.
Trade has kept pace with these changes, and the fields of trade have expanded to include regions, countries, states, and continents, and trade does not recognize geographical or political borders. There is no consideration of place in reaching various places, nor of time in reaching consumers at a record speed.
During the past fifty years, trade and the global economy have passed through three phases: ()
The first stage: After the end of the Second World War, the following three decades witnessed commercial activity and growth among some developed countries, and this activity was limited to long-term final goods and raw materials.
The second stage: This stage includes the seventies and eighties, when it witnessed rapid progress in information and communication technology, which made major companies change their marketing and production policies by moving the factory instead of the commodity across the borders of the world. He called this stage (the globalization economy). ()
The third stage: This stage includes the nineties, the period of the emergence of the World Trade Organization, and this stage was characterized by the tremendous development in the telecommunications sectors and digital technology networks, which in turn constituted a global economy without borders.
